The Best Concert Ever

Having a bad day? Oh boy, do I have a gift for you. On Reddit last week user nthed111 posted this video of French pop singer Patrick Bruel in complete awe at a concert in 1991. The video was aptly presented with the title:

That moment you realize your song is now bigger than you

You can just see the joy as he realizes that something he has written now lives on its own. I'm sure it is a moment that every artist dreams off. Well, then something awesome happened. Turns out this happens at concerts quite often, and the comments section of the Reddit thread quickly filled up with cathartic awesomeness. I found myself spending an entire Saturday afternoon clenching back happy-tears and watching video after video of what became one of the greatest online concerts ever assembled. Here are some more great ones from the thread. Enjoy!

BOY - Little Numbers

This one got me even more than the first one! She's just so happy!

Mumford and Sons - The Cave

Check out Marcus Mumford's face at (00:17). Pure joy.

The Angels - Am I Ever Going to See Your Face Again

This crowd, among other things, makes me wish I was Australian.

Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional - Hands Down

Someday I want to be cool enough to get a crowd riled up like this. I also want to be cool enough to wear a deep v-neck t-shirt. Oh well. I will have to live vicariously through Chris Carrabba.

Arcade Fire - Wake Up

Krezip - I Would Stay

I guess this was the last time Krezip played at Pinkpop. Seems like a fitting send off!

Snow Patrol - Run

I love Snow Patol. I love this video. That is all.

Stone Sour - Bother

Oasis - Don't Look Back in Anger

I miss Oasis. I miss Oasis a lot.

Tom Petty - Break Down

Classic awesomeness.

Pearl Jam - Better Man

No series of live concert footage would be complete without Eddie.

The National - Crybaby Cry

I'm fairly sure this is how The National ends every concert.

Well, there you go. There were many more, but these were the ones I pulled to share. To find the rest, click over to the original thread, or you can even check out this entire subreddit full of happy crowds! Which live performances would you add to this list? Leave let me know in the comments below and I will update this post from time to time with new videos!

Oh yeah, and don't forget to like Ask Your Dad on Facebook, because if you don't I won't be mad, I'll just be disappointing.
