Five Dollar Friday - Limbs for Life

Sorry that I've been a bit absent this week. As most of you know, I busted my right (dominant) hand.  In fact, this is currently being typed with my left hand only. That sentence: two minutes. So I'll be brief. Not having a right hand sucks. Here is a small list of things it makes difficult.
  • Putting on a backpack
  • Putting deodorant on my left armpit
  • Typing
  • Turning pages in a book. (Thank God for my iPad)
  • Picking up my daughter.
  • Getting her in her car seat.
  • Buttering toast. Poor toast, never had a chance :(
  • Wiping (Sorry TMI)

I could go on for pages. My point is not to complain, but to introduce this week's Five Dollar Friday: Limbs for Life

See, I have the privilege of getting my hand back in 4-6 weeks. A lot of others don't. Limbs for Life helps change that. I'm not going to go into too much detail because my left hand is getting really tired. PLEASE check out their well-designed page, consider sharing this post, and possibly giving them your lunch money. Click here to go.

Love,

Lefty (Dad)

Five Dollar Friday

P.S.  I'm excited to announce that you can look forward to a guest post next week from one of my favorite bloggers. I'll give you a clue. It starts with a G and ends with "uerrilla Mom"!

As always, if you have suggestions for future Five Dollar Fridays, please send us an email through the Contact Page with the subject "Five Dollar Fridays".

  4. John,
This is a fabulous 5DF! I find the world of prosthetics important and extremely motivating on so many levels...I was at a wedding this weekend, so wasn't able to participate on Friday, but I'm going to go donate $5 now.
    Good work! Keep healing.
